Small, Easy, Beautiful

Lately I’ve been into everything small, easy and beautiful. Last night I browsed through my pile of unread books and picked up Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven. I had no recollection of saving this little leaf from earlier in the fall (Photo Treasure Hunt Day #22), but I was pleasantly surprised to find it so beautifully preserved in between the pages, so I decided to make it into the small piece of art that it deserves to be. It doesn’t always have to be a big creative undertaking to make something lovely to look at.

1. Some grey cardboard for the background.

2. This adhesive is the bomb. It’s perfect for detailed glue work and even I couldn’t make a mess of it.

3. Black frames to finish the look. A little bit of the autumn to be marveled at on dark winter days.
